Moment of Silence - New for the 26-27 School Year

This notice is to inform you that beginning this school year, all schools will observe one minute of silence at or near the beginning of each school day.
Potlatch School District encourages parents and guardians to offer direction to their child on a silent reflection or activity to engage in during the minute of silence.During this minute, your student may sit quietly or engage in any silent activity that is consistent with school rules and District policy as long as it doesn’t distract or interfere with other students. Disruption of the minute of silence may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the District’s student behavior policy.
Idaho Public Schools are required by Idaho Code 33-1639 to observe a daily minute of silence.
