Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we head into the weekend, we have come to the end of our “Hybrid- A/B” model of school scheduling at this time. Starting this coming Monday, February 22nd, we will be returning to “All Students attending – All Day/Everyday – 5 Days-a-Week”. This is a huge step for us and we want to thank our students, our staff, and our parents for hanging in there with us as we navigated through the pandemic together.
We are very cognizant of the fact that the pandemic is not over and so we are cautiously optimistic that we can finish out the remainder of the school year coming back full-time. But we are also realistic in knowing that the COVID virus can rear its ugly head at any time causing our school district to change directions again in order to provide a safe learning environment for our students and staff. That is why we are reaching out to you, as parents, to stress to your children the importance of following these key tasks so we can continue operating and attending school in a full-time model. They are:
- Come prepared to wear your mask daily and at all times within the schools and on buses. Masks and/or face shields will be a requirement. And they need to be worn correctly. For masks - over the nose, as well as the mouth. For face shields – they need to wrap a little around the face and cover from the chin up.
- Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer frequently throughout the day. Keep up this practice – it’s a little thing but has great benefits to our health.
- When appropriate, keep your student or students home when they are sick.
With your help and assistance in reminding your children the importance of the above tasks, we’ll have a great opportunity to keep our students in school and complete the remainder of the school year on a high note! Thank you!
